Full Grooming
After a discussion with yourself to determine which grooming style best suits your dog and their lifestyle, a full groom would include...
- Bathing
- Drying
- Styling to your dogs individual requirements
- Nail trimming
- Ear cleaning and/or plucking
- Finishing off with a gorgeous finishing spray to leave your precious pooch smelling beautiful for weeks to come!
All throughout the process, your dog's welfare and well-being is of the upmost importance to myself and it is paramount that your dog remains happy and well looked after during their time in the salon.
Dematting / Bathing
It is vital that your dog's coat is in good condition for their welfare and well-being. However life happens and when matting occurs, you may struggle to deal with this without causing pain (and stress) in the process.
You may also struggle to give your dog a bath with ease. Through my years of experience, I have developed tricks of the trade to ensure your dog is calm and relaxed through the bathing process.
When your dog comes in for dematting/bathing, I will go through your dogs coat with a fine tooth comb to remove any matting or tangles. I use specialist shampoos to help expel excess coat and high velocity drying equipment to expel excess coat from your dogs skin which not only leaves your dog looking and feeling their best, but also has great benefits for your carpet at home!
Nail Trimming
It is always important that you think about your dog’s comfort and health, and a huge part of this is being able to ensure that their nails are trimmed. If this isn’t done, it can be painful for them to walk, and this might cause long term injuries.
Nail trimming can be an issue due to your dog's past experiences and can also be a daunting process for pet owners. I have a calming influence due to my long term experience and always ensure your dog is comfortable and at ease during their time in the salon.
Microchipping
As of April 2016, it became mandatory by law for all dogs to be microchipped, ensuring their identification and security. This means that all puppies must be registered and microchipped by the time they reach 8 weeks of age.
This simple and quick procedure benefits you and your cherished dog, granting you peace of mind knowing they can be easily identified and returned to you if lost.
